Talk Like Tigers' "singing, songs and stage presence absolutely blew me away at Sage Gateshead." Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music

Lets talk about tigers

Talk Like Tigers are a hypnotic electropop band from the North East of England. The band are twin sisters. Charlotte and Stephanie, whose seamless, velvet harmonies have been recorded by Sony and have taken them around the world as backing singers. Their travels influenced their own music and lyrics, and inspired them to create something original and unique.

After attracting the attention of BBC Music, they recorded a live BBC Introducing session, had their single 'Gunning' played on BBC Radio 1 by Huw Stephens, and supported BBC 6 Music favourites Samaris. They have also performed at Evolution Emerging Festival, Lindisfarne Festival and O2 Academy Newcastle.

To celebrate women in music and launch their self-released debut EP, they organised and headlined a stellar lineup of women artists and female-fronted bands in Newcastle.

Fruit, Talk Like Tigers' brand new song has been premiered on radio by Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music and Nick Roberts on BBC Introducing. Following their performance on the BBC Introducing Stage at Lindisfarne Festival earlier this month, Talk Like Tigers will play the Narc Magazine Stage at Last Train Home Festival, Darlington on 22nd September.

"A fabulous track from Talk Like Tigers. One of the new wave of North East pop acts." Nick Roberts, BBC Introducing

"Are you up to speed with Newcastle twins Charlotte and Stephanie yet? You should be, particularly if you like electro pop with plenty of invention behind it. Tropical is an utter delight, a mid-tempo groover that is nicely stripped back and given plenty of air to breathe...displaying more creativity in one track than some bands manage over an entire album…
It Isn’t Over...is another fine string to Talk Like Tigers’ already impressive bow… Fabulous harmonies and danceable hooks that go off like roman candles.”
The Crack Magazine

"Talk Like Tigers are well on their way to becoming one of this year's most promising acts." Wonky Sensitive

"Electro Pop at its best!! Go and buy 'Gunning' NOW!" Libby Walker, Mkfm Radio

"So much talent!" Shell Zenner, Amazing Radio

“Their first full EP, a four-track self-titled effort that marks their most confident and rounded statement yet... the twins behind Talk Like Tigers can look on their new EP and launch gig as another milestone in their aim to break through the glass ceiling… Animalistic is a hefty chunk of polished electro pop that's also just a little bit dirty - a taut, sensuous, almost flawlessly constructed pop gem that the likes of Robyn would be proud of.'' Narc Magazine

''Talk Like Tigers roar loudly as the duo embark on an impressive journey into superstardom... The dazzling 'Gunning' video is a page ripped straight out of the Tron playbook, doused with laser beams and memerizing slow-motion intensity.'' Popdust

"I’m surprised it wasn’t recommended to me on my Spotify Discover Weekly playlist with it’s great synth beat and Robyn-esque vocals...either way, everyone should definitely be watching this band grow." Rhyme Et Reason

“divine twin-pop act Talk Like Tigers whose striking vocal performances elevated their grooving soul sound to wondrous heights. Making use of their multiple talents by switching between keys, guitars, vocals and surprise choreographed dance moves their performance was engaging even without a full band accompanying them.” Spotlight UK

"Their set at a bursting-at-the-seams Tanners is energetic, catchy, harmonious (those girls can sing!), tropical and entertaining as hell!"  NE:MM

“creating a pop sound that is instantly likeable, accessible and downright infectious… The duo impress over and over again… Definitely ones to watch!” Gigs North East
